Hello!

I am completely newbie with Linux and have no idea how it works. I just installed ubuntu on my machine and all seemed to be fine, but when I tried to connect to internet using Firefox it says unable to connect. I have small home network with 3 windows systems and this forth Linux system. I have Microsoft router and high speed internet cable connection modem. Also I am not able to access any of my windows systems from my Linux machine. Are there any settings I should perform on Linux in order to be able to connect to internet and my local network?

I appreciate any help

Take a look at the Ubuntu Documentation Wiki regarding networking here.

The wiki is a great place to learn about the distro.

What version of Ubuntu did you install?
