Sims Makin Magic error

i try to create a new family in the custom menu. says "make new person failed". how can this be fixed?

I can't insttal the sims2.The PC is telling"insert CD2"but i don't have any cd.Ihave downloaded CDs from internet. plz tel me how to insttal.
