running xp and IE, and IE wont update history

My history shows for last week and 2 weeks ago etc, but for Monday and Tuesday, nothing shows up, i can't even get it to expand. Even for today which is half hour old, nothing and i just went to about a dozen websites. Any one know how to fix this? Thanks in advance

Usually, there is a problem in the index file for the history folder when this occurs. Look at this page: http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/iehv.html to get a better idea and some software to look at the problem.
