Rune updated to v1.07 but still wont work on xp

hi all i'm new here...

i installed rune today and i updated to the latest version of the game and when i tried to run it,"we're sorry rune.exe has a problem and had to shutdown.

anyone know how i can play it on my xp sp2?
i don't understand fakk2 runs fine when i updated it.

i'll be happy to get all the help i can get
