I have a Motorola SBV5220 Surfboard (the cable modem w/ telephone line), D-Link Model EBR-2310, and Time Warner highspeed connection.
I've tried to power down both the router and cable modem, connect the surfboard to the the WAN slot on the the router, connect both pc's to the router. Powered up the surfboard after 5mins., waiting for it to sync up then powered up the D-Link router and waited an additional 5mins. Neither pc could connect to the 'net.
I'm not sure were to go from here... I'm open to suggestion, comments, flames, fruit (both fresh and canned) etc.
thanks for the help

Did you follow the directions to set up your machines as noted in the EBR-2310 users manual? If so, what did you try?

I finally found the box w/ the install instruction for the EBR-2310. (we just moved) Instruction were pretty much the same as what I tried before. Even ran the install disc w/ no luck. From what I understand my problem is w/ the fact that the cable modem is used to run a telephone line too...
