Hello all.

I have a dual boot vista/xp machine while I am migrating from xp to vista.

On my xp install, I generally would install all programs to the D drive and keep my OS install on a seperate partition. Here lies my problem.

In vista, my xp system drive (c drive in XP) is set as the "d" drive and I cannot change it. When I attempt to change it, I get the following:
Quote:
Windows cannot modify the drive letter of your volume. This may happen if your volume is a system or boot volume or has page files.

Any suggestions?

Go to System control panel, Advanced and check to see if a page file has been enabled, if so, set it to 'No Page File' and reboot. Then yo should be able to format it or whatever.
