Initially when I had installed installed NFS 5, my game would quit to desktop right after the introduction video. I couldn't even get into the main menu of the game. I found a fix at this link http://www.asa.nfscity.com/nfs5setup.html and installed it. At this time, I thought I had solved the problem. But I had not.

Now my game would go into the main menus and I could actually start the Evolution mode which I love so much. But then came the big problem. The first track in this mode was Normandie and the game quits to desktop in mid-race with the windows error report. I dont know how to fix this.

I tried the compatibility mode for windows 98 and 2k but the problem persists.

My pc is a P4 2.4 Ghz with GeForce4 MX 440 graphics card, Intel D845GEVB2 motherboard and running Win XP SP2. And yeah, I have the latest Nvidia drivers.

Any help will be much appreciated.

You are experiencing the famous nvidia and Normandie sky problem. What you need to do is replace the normandie sky, with one of the skys from the other race tracks.

You can use the following tools to fix this.

or

Good Luck
