Are DVD-/+V or DVD-/+VR disc's recorded on a standalone (CE) DVD recorder meant to be compatible with PC DVD devices?

Can you direct me to an information source?

Yes, movies recorded on your standalone DVD recorder can be played on your PC as long as you have some DVD Playback software such as Power DVD from Cyberlink or ones supplied with DVD burner software.
