Slow runescape

On my mums computer has the only internet connection but is full with music and photos etc. I have the latest java download for runescape but it freezes and is soooo slow. can sum1 help me please.

Clear out the Temp internet files folder via Internet Options.

First run a defrag on all partitions on your HD as your system will be very fragmented, that should speed up the system. It will boot a little faster and saving and loading should be faster. Adding more memory to the system will help.

Ok. How long does defragmenting take? Because my mum may not allow it.

But how lomg will it take cause she always on the computer and she dont know much about that stuff. It would be Okay if it took one hour or less.

It depends on the size and how much stuff there is on your hard drive. Roughly I'd say it could take anyware from 15mins to 2hours...

Ok im guessing it would take 2hrs for my computer. Thanks. How much x's faster would this make it run? Would it be worth it?

Ys, you would notice that it boots a few seconds faster, you can login faster and loading programs will be faster as well!
