Windows 98 Installation

Hello Sir,

I have installed Windows 2000 Professional in my Machine(NTFS format). Now i want additionaly load window 98 operating system.

How to install windows 98 without affect windows 2000 professional.

Whether anybody to know please reply.

Does the system have any FAT/FAT32 partitions?
Win 9x/ME does not support NTFS.

IMHO, 'easiest' method would be repartitioning hdd to:
C:\: FAT32,
D:\: NTFS.

Then install Win 98 to C:\, Win 2000 installer will make required entry to it's boot menu when you install it to D:\.

It's usually easier to install older Windows before newer, to different partitions. Saves lot of hassle.

Another method would be creating new FAT(32) partition from free space (using third party tool), installing Win 98 to it and then repairing Win 2000 installation.

What ever route you take, make backups...
