I want to build a new computer with Mandriva or SuSe Linux installed but I get the feeling that no 775 motherboard in the marketplace is supported.
So I think to myself what is the best bet for Linux?
So then I think go with intel chipset P965+ICH8R and motherboard Foxconn P9657AA-8EKRS2H. Why becuse the Mandriva, SuSe compatability lists are full of intel chipsets and the P965 has an improved memory contoller.
So then I read a review of the P4N-Sli with nForce4 chipset which works flawlessly under gentoo linux and I think.
P4N is good
But how do I know it works with SuSe/Mandriva distro's?
There are no Nforce chipsets in the compatibility lists of SuSe/Mandriva this may not be a good bet.
But don't worry I can download a driver for the chip set from Nvidia
But how do I install such a driver?
Does anybody have any ideas?
