What type of modem do you have? USB or Ethernet router? Ethernet routers are much better for multiple PCs (you can get them cheap).
If using USB then you need to use XP's Internet Connection Sharing feature see your ISP's web site FAQ on how to do this.

If you want all of your PC's to use the broadband modem, the easiest way is to purchase a router, like Lynksys, or something equivalent. The modem would connect to the router and your hub would connect to the router. The router will set the IP configuration for you automatically.

I have a Linksys 4-port router, no need for a hub, just connect the modem to the wall outlet, ethernet connection on modem to the internet connection on the router, plug in your systems, and you're done. cool
