Turok 2 does not work, cant make any sense of it!

Hey everyone
this has been bothering me for months, it is a very wierd perdicament.

I install the game, everything works fine.
Try to start up the singleplayer campaign. Nothing happens!
Okay i start up multiplayer, Everything works fine, completely fine, NO hardware issues. WTH?
I've had my pants in a twist about this for so long, i am completely out of ideas. I need help.
My system:
Win XP PROFESSIONAL
3.4ghz Pentium 4 HT
1.5 gigs ram
128 mb Radeon 9600 mobility (Yes i have a laptop)
