Xp mess up PLease help!!

I've installed and downloaded Final Fantasy VII and it works untill the train bit at the VERY VERy start! Then the screen goes blank. Whats wrong with it? Please help me! I've been trying to get it for months

Try this, Right click on the program icon. Then click properties, choose the compatibility tab. Then click put a tick in the compatibility mode and change the mode to the version that FF VII says it needs to run it.
