I'm new, and I'm kind of stuck. When I go to download something, there's no link to download it. It's probably a stupid question, considering I'm pretty stupid.

Very true, when I first found this site, looking to fix a problem I laugh at now, I had very very little computer knowledge. But now after reading posts everyday and looking at reviews and news and simply reading about computer stuff on the internet, I have built a few of my own PC's and helped countless friends and family members fix problems, without any formal computer teaching. Like Relic said, you've gotta start somewhere 8)

Are you using Win XP? if so are you looking to the top of your browser window to see a light yellow band that says, "To help protect your security IE has blocked this site from downloading files to your computer. Click here for options" If you right click on that bar it will allow you to download the file that you want.

That is just a review done by that person, you can't actually download that game. If you google it you might be able to find the exe that you need or you may need to go out and buy it.

I'm sure there is a mod for this game, for free, I may have dwnlded it at one time, I'll have a look around for you tomorrow, but I'm very sure there is a modded free version, the makers of Privateer released the source code for it, and the modders had a field day with it.

Excellent game BTW, I loved it, wish my CD's(all 5 of them) hadn't have got trashed in a move.

Anyhow, the updated version works with new graphics cards, and is much better graphics wise.

Like I said, I'll check for you tomorrow after work. smile

Dude, chill out, I do have a life, a wife, and kids, I don't live in these forums, and I do not get paid to help people. Now, when I have the spare time, I will find you the game, which will be later today.

Now then, I could just say: "Screw you and your attitude", but I won't. I will however, say: "Grow the hell up!" I'm not your mommy or daddy, and I am not at your beck and call. Remember that. wink

So, do you want this game, and a few others in the Wing Commander series, which have been made by fans, or don't you?

These are all free. Now, did I just waste 15 minutes of my time finding these for you, or are you still around these forums? If I wasn't a fan of the game myself, trust me, I wouldn't have found this for you.

Yeah. Very few people on here have the time to check these forums often. I fortunately work nights and have free time while I am at work and reading these passes the time. Relic is a constant source and does a lot with what little time he has. And all he did was do a search you very easily could have done yourself. More than just "Thanks" is in order.
