Radeon x1300 pro vs 9700 pro

My Radeon 9700pro went dead on me today so I hurried to the store and got x1300pro. I'm wondering just how bad it is compared to 9700pro and what should I get instead that's cheap but a bit faster than 9700pro. Thanks.
