Toolbar gone in MS Word

Hi all!
This is my first stop on trying to find a solution to this problem. A friend of mine has somehow lost the tool bar at the top of the page of MS Word. I was wondering if anyone here could give me a clue how to get this tool bar back. I have to confess, I have forgotten how to manipulate MS programs (yeah, I'm one of those linux guys:-) ). Any help here would be greatly appreciated.
