dose wing commander 4 the price of freedom work with windows xp?

my wing commander 4 is DVD one and it came with my computer when i bought it(windows 95) and now i have xp but i don't know if i can run it or not
if i can do i need some kind of patch or something?
if so plz give me the link.

If you don't have the decoder card you will need this patch to run it, available from the author's website :-
