NHL 2001 XP problem

i installed nhl 2001 yesterday and restarted and when i tried to play it an error pops up saying The game is not installed on the hard drive properly please reinstall and try again well i did and nope still same error can any one help?

Hi Jordan,
I guess this a long shot but i wanted to ask you if ever managed to fix this problem with nhl 2001 on windows xp? i am getting the same problem. I wouldn't like to re-install windows.
