I have tried this in all windows versions from 98 and up and every time i get the same problem. Red alert 2 will come up with the initial screen that asks if you want to install or quit, so i click install and nothing happens. The installer freezes and that is the end of it. Anyone gotten this to work under virtual pc?

The same thing happens to me when I try to install Red Alert 2 on XP, I get as far as Agreeing with the terms then when I click on Next it freezes. Anyone know a way to dodge the freeze up?

RA2 has never frozen for me but it's possible that it uses a 16bit installer and NTVDM is acting up. If so then when it "freezes", hit ctrl+alt+del to get into task manager, find the NTVDM process and end it. This should allow setup to continue. This has worked for me with other installshield games/programs in the past.
