same probs. with sendmail

Any suggestions what I'm doing wrong.. loaded everything as defaulted

2>Any suggestions on MX dns record setup..
an example would be nice..let's say I have ex.com as a domain

3>WHat are the settings in phpbb2 if I am using sendmail or postfix
I turn on smtp server to Y
and should I put localhost (127.0.0.1 or wan ip? example
ex.com or smtp.ex.com)
