need loki installer help

ok i posted about 30 minutes ago but i think in the wrong place not sure so forgive me if so i have the orginal cds for cod and a loki installer to instal them i can see everything on cd1 of call of duty but gedit (i have a really strong feeling that aint the program i need) will not open the file it will open the pics i try to open the loki installer also opens with errors gedit cant read it (gedit could this be my problem) i think gedit is like notepad am i correct if so what or how do i run the file or which files do i need to run btw i tried ooh btw im running ubuntu amd64 3000+ using the terminal with commands i seen on other sites with no luck can someone please tell me a simple way to install games as i am very new to linux

just incase i left some info out i did read the loki installer page where i got the loki installer i copy pasted every command one at a time into terminal with everything wrong no idea where do i start to learn how to instal stuff btw the loki installer im using is call.of.duty_1.5-english.mun

I know nothing about this, but we do have a few expert members who know how to do this. Maybe this bump will catch their attention.

 

Perhaps point them to the directions/ where you got the installer package (web page) that you are using for the installation.

thxs danleff another problem is im running ubuntu amd64 which i guess is harder to run. most stuff doesnt run on it unless u use groots(not sure if im even close to what it is) but no where i look to find out how to use em tells me anything i been using google and forum searching and i seem to get more lost the longer i look i download rtcwet from www.gamershell.com and tried to install that just to make myself learn a lil bit bout installing and cant even install that because of x86 amd64 thing can anyone direct me where to find help

after some time i learn a lil bit and now i got stuck again this is what i get

It looks like you don't have the libgtk libraries installed that allow compiling packages (applications). Take a look at this post to see what the problem could be and a possible solution.
