Help
I am using a version of XP that came with SP2 but only installed dx9b. I got the redistribution of dx9c and the full version and instad of installing they simply say "components are now ready to use". DXDIAG confirms dx9b is installed. I have tried DX Eradicator, DX uninstaller, and replacing the DXSETUP and .dll files in the 9.0c installation directory with the 9.0b ones, as someone recommended this. It installed, but dxdiag still says 9.0b is installed, and BF2 demo does not work. any help would be much appreciated.

Direct X Happy Uninstall may do the trick for you.

I have the same problem. I've trying many things and have successfully uninstalled DirectX however when I go to install the newer version it goes threw it and says it's complete however nothing was ever installed.
