The Sims Deluxe

I have the sims Deluxe I installed it and it goes to the screen where it says all the things at the bottom. It gets done with all of the stuff and it just quits on me. Ive tried everything i can think of so please help me.

Did you ever solve this? I have the exact same problem. I have directx 9.0c installed. It had worked for a long time and then my kids installed sims vacation and sims unleashed and it quit working. I have uninstalled everything and tried reinstalling jus the Sims Deluxe and it still won't work. Seems like everyone has problems running Sims.

i have no idea when this post is from but i had the same problem... im trying un installing it restarting the computer and installing it.. to see if that works.. did you ever solve this?
