Hi folks,
I have been searching around for help.
I'm running Fedora Core 3 and prepared to join a live
presentations via Internet. The company holding the
presentations requires participants equipped with live
phone connection. They also require MSWindows Media
player and Livemeeting to join the presentations.
I made a search on Gnomemeeting and was advised that
LiveMeeting is using SIP only. It is not supported by
Gnomemeeting.
I came to this mailing list. Please advise would it
be
possible to join the aforesaid presentations with a
Linux box and how? TIA

It may be possible to install the windows programs necessary using wine. What program is used to connect? I know windows media player seems to work well with wine.

Hi danleff and folks,
Tks for your advice.
I also have been searching on "Gnomemeeting.org". A folk there said "NO" but another folks there holding opposite opinion said "YES".
Anyway I'll try. The websiminar will take place on 16th instant. I must register within 1 or 2 days. Because the time is now drawing near. I have to check all my equipment, both hardware and software here whether they are ready to go.
1)
# yum search gnomemeeting
2)
# yum search proxy
wget.i386 1.9.1-17 installed
neon.i386 0.24.7-4 installed[/code]
3)
# yum search 'proxy server'
What other packages I need to install addtionally in order to communicate with MS-Livemeeting.
Please advice. TIA

Hi OldSpiceAP,
Tks for your advice.
I tried WINE before. Not all MSWindows applications can run on this Simulator. I'm not sure whether 'MSLivemeeting' can do? 'Mplayer' is similar to 'Media Player'
Besides I expect to find a solution from Open Source.
