BIG problem... I can't even INSTALL FFVII! Everytime I click on the install button, an error message comes up saying something like "C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications." I have windowsXP and I'm SURE I have been able to play this on XP before... PLEASE HELP! I've looked on many pages for solutions but none of them have worked... frown If ANYONE has a solution or has had this problem and it can't be fixed, PLEASE email me at leora85@hotmail.com
Thanks

PLEASE HELP ME! I have the game, but it won't install, and yes I'am using the install CD. Every time I click the install button on the autoplay it doesn't even display a error message or anything, it just takes me right to the desktop and does nothing, please help me, email me at sheffer33@hotmail.com, thank you

Well, Dudethatwantsff7towork: try creating shortcut to install application (not the autoplay application, autoplay.exe, or similiar) on the CD (install.exe, setup.exe, etc.) on your desktop.

Rightclick the shortcut and select "Compatiblity" tab, then tick "Run this program in compatiblity mode for:" box.
Try selecting "Windows 95" from the combobox. If that does not help, then try "Windows 98 / Windows ME".

Hi, I'm trying to do a Maximum install of Final Fantasy VII on my Windows Xp Pro machine and on the first of four CDs the installation freezes at 23%. Anyone have an idea what the cause of this might be or is there a way to do this install manually?

BTW, standard install also freezes at 65% !

Thanks all

Hi, I also have the problem of installing Final Fantasy VII. It gives me the "system file is not suitbable..." I see that others have gotten successful help in solving this issue. I've tried changing the setup.exe file to compatability with windows 95, 98/me but I still cant get it to work with XP. Please help!
