My ports are not workingggg

if i try to do the emule tcp-udp test - it fails...if it try to do the bittorent 6881-6889 ports test it fails. when i try to put the port here:

its say that there is a problem..
i dont know whatr to do - i dont have any viruses or spybots and my windows is 2 days old...i tried to do this when my xp's firewall was off and it didnt work..how can i make the ports work?

May be the problem is not on your computer? May be corporate firewall makes it impossible to use these ports, of course if your comp is on the LAN

Perhaps a working link might help, for this situation. Do you have a router w/ a built in firewall?

Or, you can try the following utility from Ms to test your ports or ports on the remote machine - Port Query: http://download.microsoft.com/download/3/f/4/3f4c6a54-65f0-4164-bdec-a3411ba24d3a/portqryui.exe
