know how to solve about monitor out of range?

know how to solve about monitor out of range? i only change the resolution to 1028x... then i log out of my account. the monitor shows, Input Signal out of range. I have all my projects in the com. How to change the resolution?

First- which distro are you using?

Second- Do you have you monitors's user manual in handy for reference...if not just go to the manufacturer's homepage and download the manual.

If you are using one of the debian-based distros suchs as knoppix, mepis, etc...you could use the liveCD and replace the XF86Config-4 and XF85Config file, which are located in /etc/x11/ folder. But to make things easy...just read this Thread and do some of the things that they suggest there.

I'm not sure which distro you are using and which window manager...but it is KDE, I think you can do some of the things they suggest there.

Let us know if you are still having problems or you fixed it.
