Dark Forces 2: Jedi Knight

I have a new compaq computer with Windows XP. I am trying to install my old Dark Forces 2: Jedi Knight game, but when I click the install button, it says there is a '16 bit subsystem error' and that it is not suitable for running ms-dos and windows programs, or somesuch. Is there some way I can get my computer to install my game?

copy c:\windows\repair\config.nt and autoexec.nt to c:\windows\system32

Upgrade your spyware programs and or install the latest ver of spyware programs and scan your system since this problem may be caused by earlier versions of spyware scanning programs or spyware/antivirus themselves.
