Hi guys,
I have a basic home network. Two computers, one switch. I don't have a router, I have dynamic IP (automatically set by isp) so I don't have to set IP's at all.
My problem is this. I cannot see the other computer on the network when the internet connection is plugged into the uplink.
When I unplug the internet, and just have the two computers plugged in, both computers can then see one another.
This wasn't doing this when I first bought the switch (linksys 5-port)
any help would be greatly appreciated.
Ryan

What sort of internet connection do you have? DIal up modem? ASL or Cable Modem, if so, Ethernet or USB?
If DSL/Cable, make sure its plugged into a normal port on the hub to allow internet and local network to work. The uplink port is for chaining hubs together.
