Yeah, I read that earlier tonight.

Lots of info I didn't know but it's hard to get the facts from Slashdot. Going to have to find a good book or something for the REAL truth. Unfortunately, that's what this whole mess is about. heh. I wonder if Bill Gates knows?

Lots of people bashing DOS, heck they probably don't even know what DOS is! smile

As you mentioned APK, DOS is still usefull even today:

Low level access to hardware
Low memory footprint
Fast boot speed
Less possibillity of corruption due to virus/spyware/adware.
Cheap to license

Compare this to something like Linux or Windows Embedded and for certain types of hardware DOS is more usefull.
