My PC hangs up at the formatting part.

I try to install SuSe 9.2. In Base Installation, YaST displayed the Installation settings. As i have already installed windows xp in c drive, SuSE 9.2, by default selected hda9 for swap and hda10 for /with reiser. It took around 12 GB for /with reiser partition and 490MB for swap.( Total hard disk space: 80 GB).
After agreeing to the terms n conditons, in the next screen, It is displaying: formatting 100% but my system hangs up for hours(4-5 hrs). so i tried to restart the system but install again but of no use. PLS help me! bold text
