Hello! I have an Acer Power SC with Win XP, and I am trying to install a Geforce mx4000. After inserting the new PCi card the picture (very dark) only last about 15 sec, just so I can se the win logo. Than the PC turns off. I have tried to disable the onboard 128-bit 2D/3D graphics accelerator (video card) in "my computer" ...... but it dosn't work, and there is no options in the bios that can help me.. Do I have to fix this with dip/jup swithes. I have a S57M-2 Motherboard but no manual to it.
There are tree PCI slots, whitch one should I use?

I'm verry thankfull for any help.

This thread is over two years old, so I doubt that Frank is still around. He only posted once in 2005.

Do you have the manual to this system?

Is this an AGP or PCI video card?

When you set the VGA to Onboard, is there another option to disable it? According to the users manual, there should be.

Auto enables the onboard totally. Kinda confusing.
