HELP INSTALLING SIMS DELUXE ED. on my PC :D

Hi, I'm new here and I was hoping someone would be able to tell me why I can't install the Sims Deluxe Ed. on my computer. I used to have it on there and then I installed Sims Vacation. I got sick of that and I wanted to play the normal Sims again, i put the old disk in it got to 95% then an error came up that said "Component Transfer Error" Then it exited the setup whats wrong with the silly thing? HELP :x
