How can I access the bootmenu to edit the text it displays i

in 98 i could edit a file in the root of the c: drive or something to edit the text it displays on bootup in DOS for OS selection, can i still do this in 2k?

Look for a hidden, system, read-only file in the root called BOOT.INI

If you wanna esealy edit your boot.ini and NT BootMenu, , you can have a look at WinImage BootPart : it's a small tool that can help you tweak your menu.

And if you really wanna know what's inside boot.ini : go at Microsoft support in boot.ini explanation section.
