Prince of persia:1 problem

Ok ive seen the one on prince of persia 2 but i have the same problem and i tryed all the things from the prince of persia 2 trhead. This is what happens, i start up the game but b4 anything comes up it says the game ended unexpectdly. I dont no why i doesnt work, i mean half life 2 worked and prince of persia 2 worked so im geussing it should be working. please help.....please
