Dear Leicester 35451

This is b8251213 with the monitor problem the quarter inch squares on my monitor screen. You asked for a screen shot that is fine but how do I go about doing that like I said they last 5 to seven seconds.

When it starts, quickly hit the print screen button and paste it to eg. paint. If you missed, try again.

OK help me out I am a novice at this what is E G. Paint. When I opened up this post reply where it reads quick code all 30 of those squares were covered with that quarter inch square numbered one through 20 they'll only flash on approximately five to six seconds. This is a nightmare!

If this is any help the monitor is a compusa 17 in. screen model number D.H.-1764 M.

Thank-you

b8251213 if you would like to e-mail me address follows

I had a Zenith/Heathkit CGA monitor do this. Because it was a Heathkit, it could be tested. It turned out to be a solder connection in the monitor. Actually, it was in the solder itself. Some kind of crystal was formed. Have you tried this monitor on another machine to see if something similar happens? If it does, it is the monitor. If it doesn't, it may be in the video card or possibly the cord connecting the monitor to the card.

By "eg. paint" I meaned, "for example, paint."
(eg = "exempli gratia", for example in latin)

The Paint can be started via Start->Run->mspaint.exe.
