I did what people recommended in setting the audio acceleration to none for Interstate '76, but now when I activate the game and try to play Trip or Melee, and I have disc 2 in, it says, "please insert disc 2." What gives? If I reinsert the disc and press ok, the game freezes.

Well, I guess few people even have the game anymore. The posts about Interstate '82 are old...sigh...

Well, sorry for the three posts in a row, but if anyone is listening, maybe this will help: I don't have the Gold Edition, (because when I downloaded the patch and opened it, a box came up and said, "Interstate '76 has not been installed properly", so maybe I should try reinstalling) and it will not recognize the discs, period, except for installation. Anything that requires either disc will not work. Thank for your time.

Hi,
Sorry to ask, but did you buy the game? if so, did you get it from a shop or private. Cause, if its a pirated/downloaded game it will install fine but when you want to play it fails its security checks on the CD's.

It came with this joystick I once bought... it's not pirated or anything. And the only thing I can do is install it and access the options menu. My PC (Windows XP, a new Dell) recognizes the disk, but the game itself does not recognize that a disk is inserted.
