I've done a quick look over the web and haven't really found what I'm looking for yet, maybe someone here can help me out smile

I'd like to download or build a bootable recovery console cd for Windows 2000 and XP. I use BartPE frequently, but sometimes all I'm doing with it is chkdsk and deleting a few files which could be done a lot quicker with a command prompt.

I could use an install cd but I'm just looking for something that boots up quickly and is able to do these 2 simple tasks really. NTFS is what I'm using this on mostly, so I'll have a distrust of any Linux based tools. I know that Linux has good read support for NTFS but last I heard write support was still sketchy.

Thanks!
