unable to start X in FC3, pls help

I was using FC3 perfectly until just now when X cannot be started when FC3 is booted up. The only thign that appears on the screen is this.

INIT : Id "x" respawing too fast : disabled for 5 mins.

After waiting for 5 mins, the same msg comes up. X just can't be started. Pls help.

It's strange that this problem would just suddenly start. What have you done to your computer recently that could possibly cause a problem. Been fiddling with anything new recently?

There's always the brute force method. Re-install the X packages.

Did you upgrade the kernel? Which hardware are you using?

iamroot, you can run apt-get rpm from the command line, you don't have to have synaptic.

But how do i uninstall the current X packages? Could you post a step by step procedure on how i can reinstall the X packages? Would appreciate it.
