XP laptop. Loaded automatic update and shutdown computer. Now when I turn it on it ask for me to click the username to log on. Problem is there is no option to click on. The administrator icon is gone. My only option is to turn it off. Does same thing in safe mode. Not sure how to fix it...
Thanks

When you get to Windows, copy and paste the following quote box contents to notepad and save it to "admin.reg", eg. to desktop. Then double click the file to import it to registry.
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\SpecialAccounts\UserList]
"Administrator"=dword:00000001
Reboot.
Now there should be Administrator account on logon screen.
