Can someone confirm for me the implications or issues that may arrise when running an nt4.0 server inside an Active Directory Domain?

I know that you cannot configure NT4 as a BDC in an Active Directory Domain because MS wants you to upgrade however; will there bee any performance issues or access issues to look out for?
