sharing of an intrnet connection

hi,
with two computers, with system operational XP, has succeeded in sharing a internet connection.
The strange thing is that for the remote connections (fram internet) if I leave the function Firewall connetions on the host computer it is not allow to download from consumers internet.
does someone know how to resolved?
