Problem playing video files in Windows XP after SP2 update.

When I am trying to play video files in any video player (Windows Media Player, Quicktime, Realplayer, etc..) the video will play for a few seconds and then either go completely green or become all slow and laggy and then go completely green. This started happening after I upgraded to SP2 on Windows XP Home. Anybody know how I can fix this?

Specs:

AMD Athlon 64 FX-51 2.2 GHz
2 Gigs Ram
Windows XP Home with SP2
