I have a laptop with a wifi card, my desktop has ADSL via an internal pci dsl modem which my phone line plus into. I want to be able to setup my daughters computer and my laptop to be able to share the dsl connection wirelessly. Can anyone tell me the easiest and most cost effective way to do this? Thx
i got the wireless card installed in the desktop if if I set it to peer to peer my laptop can see the desktop but cant login. if I set as access point it just scans through the channels but my laptop sees nothing. Can someone help me out?

The cheapest way to do it would be to right click on the desktop's ethernet card, go to Properties, and select "Allow other users to connect through this computer's internet connection"
However, your daughter can only access the internet when your computer is turned on. A better solution would be to get an inexpensive wireless router. You can get them for $10 or free after rebate if you watch the Best Buy/Staples/Office Depot flyers.

Hi pr-man as what gtwannabe said is 100% rigth you need get wireless router like Linksys me don't like wireless I perf hardwire.
