MS-DOS problem

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. the system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose close to terminate the application.

I am now getting this message whenever i try to run an MS-DOS program.
I don't have any viruses thati *know* of although I do keep getting 3 pop ups. does anyone have ANY advice. this is drivign em crazy.

Copy C:\WINDOWS\repair\autoexec.nt to C:\WINDOWS\system32

A virus deletes it.
