Everytime i open the file manager to access my files, the screen will hang and i get this error msg

The application "nautilus" has quit unexpectedly

Then i'll have to close nautilus. So now i can't get graphical access to any of my files. Anybody can help me here? I was thinking that the prob might lie in software updates.

iamroot, I never can remember which distro you use! wink

And you had no problems with Nautilus before? Can you run Nautilus OK as root?

I've used Nautilus for a while, but it seems I always have trouble with it! It gave me trouble in Mdk 8.3, 9, 10.1, RH 8,and especially 9, Core one and two, and now SuSE 9.1 Pro! I finally decided to switch to konqueror in those instances where a "gui" file browser is helpful. smile

I'm using FC2 now. Its really weird. I switched to KDE from GNOME and messed around abit and once i switched back to GNOME, the problem was solved. Talk about instability man...
