I upgraded to Windows XP on my IBM ThinkPad 600X from Windows 2000. It recognized my Xircom 10/100 network card instantly and auto configured. All was great... till I rebooted. When I rebooted, I got no link light and no network connectivity at all! I checked the network settings and the card showed that it was working properly and TCP/IP was configured properly. MOST of the time when I reboot it will not work, but sometimes its it will.

I've found that if I boot the system without the card and plug the card in when the system is fully booted it will work. But can anyone tell me why it wont work 100% of the time when plugged in before I boot?

I checked the System Event Viewer log and I get an error that says "adapter interrupts not functioning properly". But, I checked the IRQ and the card is not conflicting with anything else.

Please help!!!

I'd recommend you install either the latest Xircom drivers or IBM, whoever makes the card, instead of using the 2000 default drivers. Windows 2000 is probably using the wrong driver.
