My mother in law asked me to come look at her dell, cause it was acting funny, It appears that when she logs in from the initial log in screen of her windows xp, she types her password and logs in, the question is why does the text not show up when she is typing in the password, no ******** or anything, just a blank flashing moving cursor.

But she can log in fine? it's just a blank box as she writes it in?
