problem installing directx 9.0c

i installed the sims 2 and i wanted to play, but it says that i did not installed directx 9.0c but i DID!!! i later then go to run and type DXDIAG... in there it says that that my directx is 9.0b... i juz dun understand!!! why cant i juz install directx 9.0c!!! can anybody help me... plz... or is my graphic card does not suppport it? i am using MSI geforce FX 5200 ... can this support 9.0c?

ok.. i'm having kinda the same problem. Except i have downloaded directx 9.0c off the microscoft website and i ran "dxdiag" and it says what it should. ALTHOUGH when i run sims 2 it stops and says that iti dont have it! I'M SOO CONFUSED!
